Top 10 plus-size outfits for women

You can be a plus-size woman and still dress classy. Feeling good in your clothes depends on how you dress your curvaceous figure.

We are all for the new sexy, which is curvy. Many body types were heavily criticised and despised for a very long time. One of them has the label XXL. But as things have evolved, so too has the approach taken by designers to body-positive fashion. The L now stands for loud living.

Top 10 plus-size outfits that women can wear

Sweater vest, top, denim skirt, shoes and bag

We are styling a sweater vest for the first plus-size look. Sweater vests are back in style. They are also a terrific way to stay warm as we approach the harmattan season while sporting a cute and preppy look.

Start by placing a white button-up shirt on top of a beige sweater vest. Put on a black shoulder bag, a denim skirt, and a pair of heeled loafers. This outfit is ideal for going out for a cappuccino, going to class, or doing some library research.

Sweater, jeans, coat, scarf and bag

Sweater, jeans, coat, scarf and bag

This design is appropriate for an autumnal wardrobe idea that is warmer. Let’s start by locating a great coat. This season, this large black coat will work with anything. Grab a pair of over-the-knee boots to layer with this ensemble since they are also back in style this fall. I still adore the traditional OTK suede boots featured above, especially when they’re worn with slim black jeans for a fashionable appearance.

Try a burgundy bag and sweater to add some colour and match the hues of the sweater. Finally, put on a scarf if the weather is chilly.

The colour-changing leaves will draw attention to this plus-size attire. You’ll look fantastic for a dinner date or a fall brunch.

Leather jackets, tops, trousers, boots or sneakers and sunglasses

Why not add a bit more to your outerwear and try a sherpa-lined jacket if you adore moto jackets? You get additional warmth from the lining in addition to style points. Add some plaid pants to the bottom to create a pattern. Put on some black ankle boots, and underneath the jacket, wear a top with lace trim for further decoration.

Sunlight is a possibility in harmattan, so protect your eyes and enhance your appearance by donning sunglasses. You are all set! You look amazing and feel wonderful, which is perfect for going out to dinner or hanging out with friends.

Top, skirt and tights

If you enjoy the preppy, academic look of skirts and tights, try the following ensemble. Purchase a cream blouse with a neck opening to achieve the appearance, or if it is cold, switch it out for a turtleneck. Put on a plaid skirt and black stockings after that.

Dress, blazer, heels and clutch bag

For a night out or even a hang out with friends, this plus-size costume is a fantastic option. You can still look fantastic on a night out in the fall if your activities aren’t just during the day.

Get a dress to complete the ensemble, and extra points if it has a pattern. Put on some sheer tights and straightforward ankle boots with it. Try a faux leather blazer instead of a standard one. In that case, a typical blazer or wool coat will also do. Take a clutch with you, and you’re prepared to leave.

Cardigan, dress and boots

This look is understated. Dress in denim, add a yellow cardigan, and knee-high brown boots. If it is a little colder outside, use a cream turtleneck underneath the dress. This outfit is a fantastic choice for work or even a trip to the cinema, mall or eatery with friends.

Big shirts, trousers, shoes and bags

This look is perfect if you want to look put-together, but casual for work. This business-casual look is understated and elegant.

Stylish white wide-leg pants look great with a black top. For a splash of colour, pair the outfit with vibrant heels like these turquoise ones. If you do not want to wear heels, try bright flats instead, or go for a pair of black loafers. Finish with this adorable tote bag and striking earrings (it is reversible and can be used as a brown tote bag). You are now prepared to face the day.

Wide-leg pants are not only in style this season, but they are also breathable, comfy, and appropriate for lengthy workdays.

For a formal appearance, pair the pants with a striped button-up shirt. The sleeves can be rolled up or left down. If your company has a conservative dress code, go with closed-toe pumps or flats instead of the strappy heels I love to wear with my wide-leg jeans.

Dress, bag and shoes

This next outfit is stylish, comfortable, and charming. Grab a basic belted shirt dress, like this white one, to start. Next, add a fitting, neutral cardigan on top.

For a comfortable business outfit, pair this ensemble with some flats. These white flats are ideal because they coordinate with the dress’ hues. Wear these geometric statement earrings for some extra glitter. They are good, yet seem professional. You will be prepared for the day once you also carry a brown satchel bag.

Top, blazer and shoe

Although the jacket and skort in this plus-size suit appear to be a matching pair, they are actually from two different wardrobes. Every corporate wardrobe should have matching skirt-suit sets, so I advise purchasing several in various colours. As we are currently in the hot season in Nigeria, plus-sized women should consider a brighter hue instead of black; this will help them cope with the heat.

This khaki skirt looks great with a relaxed white t-shirt (it has shorts underneath for extra coverage). Put on these tan mules after that to complete the neutral appearance, then add your blazer. To make this outfit stand out, feel free to add a piece of jewellery or a bag.
