Popular Zimbabwean socialite Ayanda Muponda has been imprisoned for selling sex toys.
The socialite, who marketed the product on different social media platforms, was convicted for going against the Custom and Excise Act, therefore, exposing children to pornographic materials.

The court ordered Ayanda Muponda to perform 640 hours of voluntary work after being jailed for 24 months by a Mbare magistrate.
The court suspended six months of the jail terms on the condition that she doesn’t commit such an offence again within the next five years.
The remaining 16 months of her jail terms were suspended on the condition she performs unpaid community service.
