Thanks to the company’s technological expertise, Google Meet’s automated transcription functionality now has a host of additional features. One of the main additions to Google Meet will be meeting auto transcription.
Meeting transcripts automatically record the meeting’s conversation, making it simple to follow up afterwards or keep as a record. Google Meet transcriptions must now be done by third-party software.
Google is presently incorporating this feature. The host’s “Meet Recordings” folder houses the transcription. It describes itself as a Google Drive folder that is similar to meeting recordings. The feature will initially only be offered in English.
GOOGLE MEET AUTOMATED TRANSCRIBING FUNCTION
For gatherings with fewer than or equal to 200 invitees, Google says. When the meeting is over, an email with a link to the transcribed document will be sent to the meeting host, co-hosts, or transcript initiator. The meeting’s associated calendar invitation will have the transcript immediately added to it.
When there are more than 200 attendees at a gathering. Only the meeting organizers, host, co-hosts, and the specific people who started the transcription will have access to it.
Participants will be notified via email before the meeting that the meeting transcripts are now accessible. By default, the option will be active. Users of Google Workspace Business Standard lack administrative power.
Another new feature for Google Meet is the companion mode. Which enables users to raise their hands, make polls, and do other things from their laptop.

“This mode will allow in-room participants to actively interact by raising their hand, conversing. Asking questions via their phone while using the in-room audio and video,” Google claims.” Meet will also have automated framing, according to the business.
Participants in the video tile will be able to frame themselves pre to the meeting using this function. Furthermore, Google Meet users will now able to attend or initiate a meeting straight from Jamboard on the web, kicking off cooperation.
