The designer of a stadium shows what a remodeled Old Trafford could look like, which is exciting.

Old Trafford has been talked about getting a makeover for a while now, but what will the Theatre of Dreams look like when it’s done?

So far, we know that Manchester United has hired a group of top consultants to start making a “masterplan” for the redevelopment of an old football stadium.

In fact, United has hired the people who designed Tottenham Hotspur’s 63,000-seat, state-of-the-art stadium to “significantly improve the fan experience.”

Two of the options being thought about are to increase both the number of seats and the size of the stadium, which has fallen behind its competitors in the last ten years or so.

Many people have said that United and, in particular, the Glazer family haven’t done enough to update Old Trafford.

But since there are rumors about possible new owners, it looks like they could spend £2 billion to improve the stadium.

Qatar’s Investment Authority, which is a $368 billion sovereign wealth fund, will reportedly compete with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe to buy the club.

We only know that Old Trafford needs a big upgrade to keep up with some of the best stadiums in the world. In an interesting YouTube video, Bondibot made three possible designs to get fans excited.

In the video above, the first idea is to make Old Trafford bigger so it can hold 74,310 people and give the Bobby Charlton Stand a much-needed facelift.

Next up is an upgrade that will give the stadium a modern 360-degree facade, like the one at the Allianz Arena, as well as a new roof and a bigger Sir Alex Ferguson stand.

And because the Qatari owners are willing to completely rebuild the historic stadium, a plan has been made that shows a training ground where Old Trafford is now and a new, high-tech stadium close by.

Even though these are mock-ups made by fans to show what the Theatre of Dreams could look like if it had money, it’s still interesting to see.
