(REVEALED) The Incredible Amount of Money Joao Felix Red Card will Cost Chelsea

Chelsea have made a costly investment in Portuguese forward Joao Felix, who joined the club on loan from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £9m and wages estimated to be worth £6m.

This equates to a total cost of £15m for the remaining 21 Premier League games, including the recent defeat to Fulham. This means that Chelsea will be paying £714,286 per game for Felix’s services as they look to recover from a poor start to the season.

However, Felix’s dismissal for violent conduct in the match against Fulham means he will now miss the next three Premier League games, costing the club an additional £2,142,858.

Despite the costly mistake on and off the pitch, Chelsea boss Graham Potter defended Felix’s actions, stating that it was a “forward’s tackle” and that there was “no malice” in it. He also expressed disappointment that Chelsea will now be without the player for three matches.
