Nigeria’s Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Rema feature as Obama reveals his 2022 playlist

The former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has released his best music collection of the past year.

Obama’s 2022 playlist includes “The Heart Part 5” by Kendrick Lamar, SZA’s “Shirt”, as well as other songs from Nigerian stars; Burna Boy, Rema and Ayra Starr.

According to Barack Obama, “I always enjoy sharing my end of the year music playlist with all of you—and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites,” he wrote this on Twitter.

He added: “Are there any songs or artist I should check out?”

Obama’s list features some of the biggest releases of the year in different genres, which includes Afrobeats of Burna Boy, with the song “Last Last,” the Latin music of Bad Bunny, with the song “Titi Me Pregunto,” and country, with the latest new artist Zach Bryan and his left-field streaming hit “Something in the Orange.”

As always, music lovers will be admiring Barack Obama’s taste, while wondering how he picks his favourites, guess we’ll never know.
