Both Zinchenko and Nketiah dropped: 4-3-3 Team that will play Leicester

The Gunners will try to win on the road again on Saturday when they go to Leicester City for a Premier League game.

Last weekend, Arsenal’s mental strength as a title contender was put to the test when Aston Villa came close to beating them. However, a remarkable comeback in the second half helped them win a crucial 4-2 game.

Mikel Arteta will be looking for his team to play with more confidence this time, especially on defense, where the loss of Partey has been felt in recent games.

Ramsdale will keep his spot in goal, and Gabriel and Saliba will start at centerback. But Tierney should/could replace Zinchenko at left back, which is where the rotation should/could change.

The Ukrainian did score at Villa Park, but he didn’t do a very good job of defending. Emery’s team had a lot of fun attacking the side that Arsenal’s leftback was supposed to be guarding. Because Zinchenko can move into different areas of the field, he often leaves his position open and leaves Trossard or Martinelli alone on the left wing.

White, who also needs to get better at defense, should start again, and Jorginho and Xhaka should start in the middle. The two players will have to do a better job of protecting the back four than they did at Villa Park.

Odegaard and Saka will probably keep their spots in attack, and Trossard should get another chance to show what he can do on the left wing.

Martinelli should replace Nketiah for the final change. Nketiah is starting to look tired and weak after making so many starts in a row in all competitions.

This change up front is meant to give Arteta a chance to use the other option he had when Jesus got hurt. Martinelli did play as a center forward in his first season, so this might be a good time to see what he can do for the team in that role.

PREDICTED TEAM

Ramsdale

White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tierney

Xhaka – Jorginho

Odegaard

Saka – Martinelli – Trossard
