Big blow to Chelsea as a versatile and sensational star player plan to leave as two years deal offered by Arsenal.

In a stunning development in the Premier League transfer market, Arsenal Football Club has reportedly offered a two-year deal to N’Golo Kante to keep the World Cup-winning midfielder in London beyond his current deal with cross-town rivals Chelsea.

This move may come as a surprise to many, but it turns out that Arsenal’s interest in Kante predates his time at Chelsea.

In fact, the Gunners were interested in the Frenchman’s services even when he was playing in his native France. As per reports, Arsenal’s former manager Arsene Wenger had a contact at Paris-based Suresnes who touted the midfielder to the Frenchman.

Wenger said, “He played in a club in Paris. One of my best friends is a director and he told me ‘Please, I have a player who we know is unbelievable. Nobody wants him in France.’ He took him in his car and travelled with him from club to club, and finally, a club from division three in France took N’Golo Kante.”

With Kante’s Chelsea contract set to expire this summer, Spanish news outlet Fichajes reports that the midfielder has agreed to join Arsenal. The report suggests that Kante has received offers from both Spain and England, but his preference is to stay in London.

It is interesting to note that Kante could potentially fill the midfield position that was initially intended for him when he was purchased by Chelsea in 2016. Ironically, this position is currently held by Granit Xhaka, who has had his fair share of ups and downs at Arsenal.

Despite previously being seen as a defensive midfielder, Xhaka has evolved his game to become a reliable presence in the Arsenal midfield, often playing as a No. 8 and contributing to attacking moves. Similarly, Kante has undergone a similar transformation during his time at Chelsea, becoming a more attacking threat while still being a formidable defensive force.

While the reports suggest that Kante has agreed to join Arsenal, it must be noted that the deal is far from a done deal. Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, may opt for another player in midfield over Kante, and the Frenchman himself could choose to sign for another club.

It is worth noting that Kante is valued at €20 million by Transfermarkt, a figure that may prove to be a stumbling block for Arsenal, who have been known to operate on a tight budget in recent years.

Overall, Kante’s potential move to Arsenal is sure to be a hot topic of discussion among football fans across the world. If the move goes through, it could be a massive coup for the Gunners, who are in need of reinforcements in midfield. However, only time will tell whether this deal comes to fruition, and whether Kante will indeed don the famous red and white shirt of Arsenal in the coming seasons.
