Berbatov says Manchester United could be sorry if they sign this Arsenal target.

Dimitar Berbatov, an attacker for Manchester United, told his old team that they might regret a “strange” move for West Ham captain Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

He said they already have Casemiro and don’t need the England international because they have Casemiro.

Mikel Arteta still wants to sign Rice in the summer transfer window, but their London rivals Chelsea are also interested. This is because Rice doesn’t want to sign a new deal with West Ham United.

Berbatov told Betfred, “Declan and Casemiro play the same position, but the main difference between them is that one is 24 and the other is 30.”

“Of course, teams will want Declan Rice, and the most important thing he’ll want from a new team is a promise that he’ll play.

“If he went to Manchester United, he would want to play and expect to play. He wouldn’t want to sit on the bench.”

He also said, “He won’t go to Manchester United if he thinks he might be Casemiro’s backup.

“Manchester United just bought Casemiro from Real Madrid, so it would be strange for them to buy Declan Rice.”
