Before Ten Hag’s team plays their next league game, Arsenal could be 14 points ahead of Man Utd. Here’s why

Manchester United is currently five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race, but they could be 14 points behind Arsenal before they play another game.

United has been in great shape since the World Cup. In their 10 league games since the start of the English top division, they have won seven and lost only one.

Last month, the Gunners were the only team to beat them. Eddie Nketiah scored a goal in stoppage time to give the Gunners a point.

Since then, Ten Hag’s team has gotten 10 out of a possible 12 points, while Arsenal has only gotten four.

And United are still a long shot to win the title. However, if they can keep up their good play, they may still have a chance to win the trophy in May.

But by the time they play again, they might have to make up a lot of ground.

How can Manchester United fall behind Arsenal in the Premier League when they haven’t played?

This weekend, the Carabao Cup final between United and Newcastle means that Ten Hag’s team won’t be playing in the Premier League.

That gives Arsenal a chance to get further ahead of the Red Devils on Saturday, when they travel to Leicester.

The team led by Mikel Arteta will play again on Wednesday, when they host Everton. The original date for that game was September 11. However, it had to be moved because Queen Elizabeth II died.

Eight of the other games that were supposed to happen that weekend have already happened, so the only league games that will happen next week are Arsenal vs. Everton and Liverpool vs. Wolves.

United, on the other hand, will play West Ham at Old Trafford on March 1 in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

That means their next Premier League game isn’t until Sunday, March 5, when they play Liverpool. On the Saturday before, Arsenal plays Bournemouth.

So, the Gunners could extend their lead over United to 14 points if they won their next three games, all of which would come before Ten Hag’s team played its next league game. They will have played two more games, though.
