Arsenal to sign young ‘Talented’ £52m midfielder who Xavi already praised as a ‘world class’ player that will fit in perfectly at Arsenal.

Arsenal Linked with Martin Zubimendi as Transfer Window Looms

In recent months, Arsenal has found themselves linked with Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, as reports suggest a potential move for the talented midfielder.

A month ago, Spanish outlet AS even claimed that Zubimendi was “very close” to accepting an offer from the Gunners.

However, the player himself has downplayed any possibilities of a departure from the Basque club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite this, the unpredictable nature of the transfer market leaves room for twists and turns in this ongoing saga.

Adding to the intrigue, Barcelona has reportedly expressed their interest in Zubimendi as well. Xavi, the current Barca boss, had previously praised the 24-year-old, describing him as an “extraordinary” player who embodies the style of play at Barcelona.

Fabrizio Romano recently relayed Xavi’s continued admiration for Zubimendi, further fueling speculation.

The midfield department is expected to witness significant activity during the forthcoming transfer window, with several clubs, including Arsenal, seeking to reinforce their options in that area of the pitch.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle are among those also on the lookout for midfield additions.

While Zubimendi appears content at Real Sociedad, the allure of a substantial offer could potentially sway both the club and the player.

His release clause stands at €60 million (approximately £52 million), a figure that is not excessively prohibitive in today’s market.

Interestingly, Zubimendi shares the same age as Declan Rice, whose valuation is roughly double that of the Basque star’s release clause.

With the transfer window yet to open, the stage is set for an intriguing summer for Arsenal and other clubs vying for Zubimendi’s services.

As the weeks progress, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can strengthen their links to this highly regarded player.
