Arsenal to hijack world class defender from man United and new castle for £69m.

Arsenal Contemplating Signing Moussa Diaby in Upcoming Transfer Window, Reports Ryan Taylor

In an intriguing development, it has been reported by esteemed journalist Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express that Arsenal is exploring the possibility of acquiring Bayer Leverkusen defender Moussa Diaby in the upcoming transfer window.

This news comes after the winger was previously linked with a potential move to the London-based club during the January transfer window, although Leverkusen was reluctant to part ways with one of their key players mid-season.

With just over two years left on his contract, the German side may view this summer as their final opportunity to cash in on the talented winger.

Numerous Premier League teams have been mentioned as potential suitors, with Newcastle and Manchester United, as revealed by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, expressing their interest in the Leverkusen star.

It is believed that the Bundesliga club will demand a fee in the range of €70m – €80m (£60m – £69m) for Diaby’s services.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, Ryan Taylor provided an update on Arsenal’s transfer plans for the summer.

He expressed some doubt regarding the club’s financial capabilities to secure both Declan Rice and Moisés Caicedo.

However, Taylor suggested that Arsenal would be active in the transfer market, targeting players who would also attract interest from other clubs.

Moussa Diaby was highlighted as an example, as he is highly regarded and has drawn attention from the likes of Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain.

Taylor noted that Diaby fits the profile of a young player under 25 who possesses the potential to reach new heights at Arsenal.

Furthermore, he indicated that Arsenal has already compiled a concise shortlist of potential targets.

Last season, Moussa Diaby showcased his attacking prowess by netting an impressive tally of 14 goals across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen.

This figure established him as the top scorer in the squad, including two goals in the Champions League.

Additionally, the 23-year-old exhibited his creativity on the pitch, contributing with nine assists, second only to Jeremie Frimpong, who has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Recognized for his blistering sprint speed, Diaby has garnered praise from his former teammate Nils Petersen, who described him as “incredibly dangerous.”

Renowned football scout Jacek Kulig also commended Diaby’s “electric pace” and “unreal acceleration.”

however, considering the exceptional performance of Bukayo Saka on the right-wing last season, it remains to be seen whether spending a substantial sum of £69m on Diaby, who may not be guaranteed a starting position, is the wisest investment for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, may opt to bolster other areas of the squad instead.
