Arsenal star could be Sacrifice in Ambitious Pursuit of Leicester City’s Talented Midfielder James Maddison.

Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly contemplating the departure of young talent Emile Smith-Rowe from the club this summer, as they actively pursue Leicester City’s attacking midfielder, James Maddison.

Since his arrival from Norwich City in 2018, Maddison has proven to be a vital player for Leicester City.

This season alone, he has contributed 10 goals and nine assists, showcasing his impact on the field.

However, it is widely anticipated that Maddison will part ways with the Foxes at the conclusion of the current campaign.

MirrorOnline has recently reported that Arsenal has expressed a keen interest in acquiring the services of the 26-year-old playmaker.

To accommodate this potential transfer, the North London side is said to be willing to create space within their squad, potentially leading to the departure of talented youngster Smith Rowe.

Arsenal endured a disappointing end to the season, faltering in the closing months and allowing Manchester City to clinch the Premier League title with three games to spare.

As a result, the Gunners are anticipated to bid farewell to several players during the summer transfer window, including Granit Xhaka, Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding, and Reiss Nelson.

Despite being a fan-favorite, Smith Rowe’s future at the Emirates Stadium appears uncertain.

The 22-year-old English player endured a challenging campaign, failing to secure a single start under Arteta. Although he suffered a significant groin injury in September, Smith Rowe has been fit since February, raising questions about his role in Arteta’s plans moving forward.
