Arsenal got some good news about their injuries before their game against Leicester City.

Thomas Partey, a midfielder for Arsenal, is said to be optimistic about his chances of playing against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Ghanaian player has missed Arsenal’s last two games because of a thigh injury that he got before last week’s loss to Manchester City.

Both of Partey’s absences from games against Man City and Aston Villa were called “precautionary,” but he still didn’t train on Monday.

The 29-year-old has had a lot of injury problems during his time in North London, but he has mostly stayed healthy this season and has been a key part of Arsenal’s push for the Premier League title.

This season in the Premier League, Partey has scored long-range goals against Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest. He has started 18 games and works well with Granit Xhaka.

The Evening Standard says that Partey will try to get back in time for Arsenal’s trip to the King Power on Saturday afternoon, but Arsenal’s medical staff won’t rush his recovery.

The turnaround is still “tight,” the report says, but Jorginho has done well without Partey since he moved from Chelsea on the last day of the transfer window.

The Italy international was one of the best players in the loss to Man City, and his last-second shot against Villa hit the post and went in off Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez’s head.

Mikel Arteta said Jorginho did a “tremendous” job after the game, and if Partey needs more time to heal, the 31-year-old will start for the third time in a row on Saturday.

“I certainly didn’t know that he could score from far away! That’s a great thing to do. “The best thing about him is that he makes everyone else look better than they really are,” Arteta said of Jorginho.

“He’s already had a big effect on the boys and the staff, and I hope that our fans will see that and give him the help he needs. Today, I thought he was great.”

In the middle of the field, Arsenal is also worried about Mohamed Elneny, who had knee surgery at the end of January and is likely to miss the rest of the season.

After having surgery, the Egypt international could have played his last game for the club, but on Tuesday, Arsenal announced that he had signed a new one-year contract that will last until 2024.

Arsenal is still expected to spend a lot of money on a new midfielder during the summer transfer window. Declan Rice of West Ham United is thought to be their top target.

The Gunners can move ahead of Man City by five points in the Premier League table if they beat Leicester before the champions play Bournemouth a few hours later.
