Fans would be excited if Man Utd signed a “phenomenal” £26 million star.

Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express says that fans would be excited if Manchester United brought AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala to Old Trafford.

Taylor, on the other hand, doesn’t think the Argentine is what the Red Devils need right now.

News about Paulo Dybala’s move to Man United

Calciomercato said recently that United want to sign Dybala.

The Italian outlet says that the Manchester club could be interested in the 29-year-old and his Roma teammate Tammy Abraham if they can’t sign Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen.

Dybala only joined Jose Mourinho’s team last summer, but the same report from Calciomercato says that he has a £10.7m release clause in his contract.

United are likely to be looking for a new attacker since they just got rid of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wout Weghorst is going back to Burnley after his loan.

What has Ryan Taylor said about Man United’s Paulo Dybala?

Taylor thinks that United fans would be happy to see Dybala, but the Daily Express reporter thinks that the Red Devils need someone more reliable than Dybala.

He said this to GiveMeSport: “He’s the kind of player that fans get excited about when they sign. But in the end, I think United needs players with a bit more experience and who can come in and do a reliable, consistent job. For example, Dybala is a nine out of ten once every ten games, but he also has a few fours and fives. I don’t think that United needs that right now.”

Would it be exciting for Man United to sign Paulo Dybala?

United fans would probably be excited to see Dybala arrive at Old Trafford. The forward from Argentina has played at the highest level and is a proven player.

Maurizio Sarri, who used to manage Dybala at Juventus, told Sky Sport Italia (via beIN SPORTS) a few years ago that Dybala is a great player.

But, as Taylor said, he isn’t always the same. According to Transfermarkt, he scored 22 goals in 33 Serie A games in the 2017/18 season, but only five in 30 games the following season.

Still, the former Palermo player, who is worth about £26 million according to the same website, is a very good forward. If United needs a new attacker and can sign him for less than £11 million, it might be a good idea.

You think, though, that Erik ten Hag has other names he wants more than Dybala. For example, The Telegraph recently said that Kane and Osimhen are the top two strikers United wants.
