CALL FOR NOMINATION/APPLICATION FOR THE 2022 CENTRE LSD LEADERSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD
Hurray, it’s another year and Centre LSD is giving out its 2022 Leadership Championship Award!
Nigeria, like its other African counterparts, has continued to face serious challenges. Chief of which is the huge leadership challenge. Over sixty years after its independence, the debate is increasingly focusing on the resultant effects of this leadership challenges.
Some of these effects are the country’s underdevelopment, high poverty rate, massive corruption, over-dependency on foreign aid, underdeveloped infrastructure, the list is endless.
2022 CENTRE LSD LEADERSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD
Despite this recognition, the scarcity of leaders and leadership all over the world remains. This is worse in Africa and Nigeria, in particular. According to Myles Munroe, “The world is filled with followers, supervisors, and Managers but very few leaders”. The good news is, in the 13 years of the Centre LSD Leadership School, it has been proven that it is possible to train leaders.
For the past 13 years, Centre LSD Leadership School has been at the forefront of grooming Nigerians across different sectors and professions, to become strategic leaders who are equipped with relevant skills to envision the Nigeria they want to see and help map out strategies on how to get there.
In these years, the school had focused on both leaders’ development (expanding the capacity of individuals for effective leadership roles and processes) and leadership development (expansion of organizations’ capacity to enact basic leadership tasks including setting direction, creating alignment, and maintaining commitment).
This Leadership Champion Award is therefore designed to recognize past and present graduands of Centre LSD Leadership School who have utilized the knowledge, skills, and network gained from the school to advance their career, proffer solutions to tough challenges, and helped in the development of other leaders.
For the 2022 championship award, past students at the leadership school, including the 2 sets graduating in August and September 2022 are strongly encouraged to nominate/apply for the award in these 2 categories:
