The crew at Dunder Mifflin have set up shop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons thanks to a fan-made crossover with The Office which sees the show’s intro remade in-game. Nintendo’s latest entry into its adorable social sandbox has become a sort of creation suite for many fan passion projects since its release. The likes of Danny Devito and the kitchen scene from Jurassic Park have already found their way into Animal Crossing‘s humble little village, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Thanks to the many in-game items and customization options available, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has spawned countless creative fan projects in the years since its release. Fans quickly took to rebuilding and recreating their favorite movie scenes, TV moments, and more within the title. From Disney hits to Studio Ghibli successes, there’s been no shortage of creative fan content remade in ACNH, and this has since stretched not just to static builds, but even includes short fan movies and trailers. Of course, players aren’t the only ones influenced by New Horizons‘ success; other companies, such as Square-Enix, brought Animal Crossing islands to Final Fantasy XIV via its Island Sanctuary feature.

Reddit user Brave-Highlight-7168 shared a delightful new Animal Crossing creation based on the famous TV comedy series, The Office. The hilarious mockumentary show chronicled the day-to-day lives of employees at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company under the leadership of Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell. Brave-Highlight’s video recreates the entire intro of The Office using assets from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, and Ryan are all present and accounted for, with Michael’s Animal Crossing doppelgänger looking too naively precious. Despite the drab monotony an office setting brings, Animal Crossing‘s office assets help give this crossover just the right spark of life. Strangely, the Deadpool logo and the Good Guy truck from the horror series Child’s Play appear briefly.
This crossover isn’t the first time The Office appeared in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One fan recreated the Dunder Mifflin office within Animal Crossing, jello included, a few months ago. Meanwhile, other video games have also found themselves under the influence of The Office fans, like Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which has a custom zombie map modeled after the Dunder Mifflin office. Some developers even have official Easter eggs dedicated to the show, like Techland’s Dwight Schrute stapler collectible in Dying Light 2.
With the memorable cast of The Office as colorful as the iconic villagers of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it’s no surprise the two make a perfect fit in Brave-Highlight-7168’s charming crossover. With several passionate creations from the dedicated fanbase still cropping up even after two years from its release, it’s safe to say many other popular shows like The Office will eventually visit Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the future.
