Ahead of the ruling All Progressive Congress presidential primary election Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and an aspirant for the primary interface with party leaders and delegates in the state, seeks their support ahead of the presidential election coming up in few days.
In his welcome speech, the State Deputy Chairman of the party, Dr. Stephen Tsav (PhD) welcomed the presidential Aspirant and his Team to Benue, thanked them for deeming it fit to pay them a visit while he enjoins them to feel free and be relaxed as Benue welcomes them wholeheartedly.
Sen. Lawal in his remark heartily thanks, Sen. George Akume for his friendship and brotherly love towards himself and HE, Fayemi. He applauded the generosity of Sen. Akume and extolled his leadership qualities which has kept the party going in Benue.
HE, Kayode Fayemi who seeks their support, thanked the Benue APC for the granting him the opportunity to interact with them. He said he was contesting for the post of the President because he has what it takes to deliver as he is eminently more qualified to become the next president of Nigeria given his antecedents and positions held as a two terms Governor of Ekiti State, Chairman of Governors Forum for two terms, Two times Director General of Buhari’s campaign Organization among others. He asked that Benue should support him to win the primaries and subsequent elections so that he can bring dividends of Democracy to Nigerians.
The party chairman, Comrade Austin Agada in his response thanked HE Fayemi for visiting and reminisced on the support that our Leader Sen. Akume has enjoyed from him and assured the Aspirant of their support.
Similarly, Chief Terlumun Akputu and Dr. Mrs Patricia Kupchi while thanking the aspirant counts on gov. Feyemi’s humility, simplicity and straightforwardness as a trait amongst other things that endear him to the heart of Nigerians however, enjoins him to hold Sen. George Akume, the leader of the party in the state in high esteem, and remember Benue when given the mandate comes 2023.
