Hon. Goddey Samuel, the man who through God’s grace defies all political permutations and schemings to emerge as Hon. Member elect, Federal House of Reps. representing the good people of Apa/Agatu federal constituency of the Idoma speaking extraction of Benue state on Wednesday, 3rd March, 2019 make a case for north central in the tussle for the 9th assembly leadership. The Hon. Member elect in an interaction with panafricreporters in the early hour of today says
     "It is only Democratic and
      fair with all sense of
      equity and natural law
      to zone the speakership
      of the lower chamber
      of the national assembly
      to north central"
He further goes historic to foot justification for his case on the following arguing that all the geopolitical zones has held sway to the lower chamber’s leadership except the north central as he continues
North West åHon. Salisu Buhari РSpeaker(1999-2000) åHon. Ghali Naaba РSpeaker (2000-2003) åHon. Aminu Masari РSpeaker (2003-2007) åHon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal РSpeaker (2011-2015) South West: å Hon. Etteh Patricia РSpeaker (2007-2007) å Hon. Dimeji Bankole РSpeaker (2007-2015) South East: å Hon. Emeka Ihedioha РDeputy Speaker (2011-2015) South south: å Hon. On votes contributory strength to the elected government, the Hon. elect has this to say
  • North west contributed 5,995,651 votes which is 72% and has president.

*North East contributed 3,238,783 votes which is 74.36%; Senate President (zoned). *South West contributed 2,036,450 which is 53.41%; Vice President. North Central contributed 2,465,599 which is 54.92% and the third highest votes in the just concluded election. On this note and more, I join my voice to voices of millions to agitate that the speakership of the green chamber be zoned to north central. On competent and capacity, he said there are capable hands and heads in the zone who meet the requirement both by law and the standing order of the house. Hon. Goddey Samuel further argued that consideration should be given to north central to give them prompt voice and rapid responds to reduce the negative impact of insecurity in the zone.
